{"id":244135,"date":"2025-10-20T15:24:37","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T22:24:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marijuana-anonymous.org\/?p=244135"},"modified":"2025-10-21T10:56:49","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T17:56:49","slug":"acceptance-prayer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marijuana-anonymous.org\/acceptance-prayer\/","title":{"rendered":"Acceptance Prayer \u2013 A.A."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation \u2013 some fact of my life \u2013 unacceptable to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God\u2019s world by mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until I could accept my addiction, I could not stay clean. Unless I accept life completely on life\u2019s terms, I cannot be happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and my attitudes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Reprinted from the Big Book of Alcoholics, page 417, with permission of A.A.
