A New Leaf Publications oversees and administers the publication, distribution, and business of MA literature and publications for the purpose of carrying the message of recovery and service to the society of Marijuana Anonymous and to entities outside of MA.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responsible for the literature after its creation, facilitating the process of getting the MA literature into the hands of members and the addict who is still suffering.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formats all MA Literature including pamphlets for their publication&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oversees the distribution of <em>Life with Hope,<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the MA Workbook, and&nbsp;<em>Living Every Day with Hope<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Produces the monthly literary publication <em>A New Leaf&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-following-positions-are-currently-open\">The following positions are currently open:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-anlp-liaisons\"><strong>ANLP Liaisons<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Anyone<\/em>&nbsp;can be a Liaison by sharing announcements, service opportunities and more from ANLP\u2019s Monthly \u201cPitch Points\u201d at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/anlp12.org\/pitchpoints\">ANLP12.org\/pitchpoints<\/a>.&nbsp;For more information about this service role, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/ANLP12.org\/Liaison\">ANLP12.org\/Liaison<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-anlp-correspondence-editor\"><b>ANLP Correspondence Editor<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>[<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Volunteer, appointed by ANLP Department]<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-job-requirements-nbsp\"><b><i>Job Requirements<\/i><\/b><b><i>&nbsp;<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary responsibility of the <strong>Correspondence Editor<\/strong> is to support the <em>A New Leaf<\/em> Editors and communicate with members who submit content for publication in <em>A New Leaf<\/em>. Specifically, this includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communicating with members who submit content for publication in <em>A New Leaf<\/em> to let members know when their content is under review, being published, in need of revision, or being placed in the \u201cnot published\u201d archives <em>(utilizing existing templates and personalizing them as appropriate)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documenting and filing all content received by placing it in the appropriate folders on the ANLP Google Drive, and filling out the Tracking Spreadsheet\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Updating the Tracking Spreadsheet as needed as content is categorized as published, being edited, being shared with Stories Subcommittee, or archived<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working collaboratively with the other ANLP Editors to prepare each month\u2019s issue of<em> A New Leaf\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working collaboratively with ANLP\u2019s Editors &amp; Special Workers to prepare<em> Daily Dose <\/em>emails, as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting the ANLP Department in reviewing each month\u2019s issue of <em>A New Leaf<\/em> before it is sent out<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proactively assisting in organizing the Google Drive and developing systems for tracking content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending all required ANLP meetings, and communicating with the ANLP Chair in advance if you cannot attend any required ANLP meeting<em>s<\/em>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ANLP\u2019s monthly Department Meeting:<em> <\/em>held monthly every 2nd Sunday from 9:00 am &#8211; 12:00 pm PT \/ 12:00 &#8211; 3:00 pm ET<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ANLP\u2019s monthly \u201cSteering Committee\u201d meeting:<em> <\/em>held monthly every 4th Thursday from 5:00-6:00 pm PT \/ 8:00 &#8211; 9:00 pm ET<em> (optional, but strongly recommended for Editors)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ALL ANLP Department Members are expected to be of service as ANLP Liaisons by making ANLP-related announcements in their meetings and encouraging others to become Liaisons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-qualifications-nbsp\"><b><i>Qualifications<\/i><\/b><b><i>&nbsp;<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proficient with Google \u201cWorkspace\u201d including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to respond to emails<em> sent to the Correspondence Editor email address<\/em> in a timely fashion, usually within 48 hours (e<em>ven if just to acknowledge receipt of the email<\/em>);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The<strong> <\/strong>Correspondence Editor should have at least one (1) year clean and sober from marijuana, alcohol, and all other mind-altering substances <em>(unless those other substances are taken as prescribed by a healthcare provider).<\/em>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Should a candidate not be found who meets these qualifications, th<em>e ANLP Department may vote to make exceptions within its discretion.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Correspondence Editor is a <strong>voting member of the ANLP Department<\/strong>, elected by a vote of the ANLP Department (as explained in the <a href=\"http:\/\/anlp12.org\/charter\">ANLP Charter)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Term:<\/strong> The Correspondence Editor is selected for a one-year term, and is eligible to serve a second one-year term (for a total of up to 2 one-year terms or 2 total years)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:Chair@ANLP12.org\">Chair@ANLP12.org<\/a> if you have questions or are interested in these volunteer service position.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A New Leaf Publications Open Volunteer Positions Please contact Chair@ANLP12.org if you have questions or are interested in this volunteer service position.
