We encourage stories of varying lengths as your stories may be used in a variety of MA publications, including&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/anewleafpublications.org\/new-leaf\"><em>A New Leaf<\/em><\/a>, our monthly creative publication.&nbsp;<strong>To submit your story for any of these projects, explained more below, please visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/anewleafpublications.org\/submissions\/\">ANLP12.org\/submissions.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-let-us-share-nbsp-your-nbsp-story-of-marijuana-addiction-recovery\">Let Us Share&nbsp;<em>Your<\/em>&nbsp; Story of Marijuana Addiction Recovery<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the Literature Committee and Stories Subcommittee seek submissions from members to shed light on more diverse stories of recovery, including those not yet represented in MA literature. We hope to expand the scope of stories and content included in MA\u2019s literature to reach members with varying experiences, whether it be for inclusion in a book of new MA stories, in updated or new pamphlets, and\/or for publication in&nbsp;<em>A New Leaf,<\/em>&nbsp;MA\u2019s monthly creative publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;following list includes some of the less common or more diverse stories the Committee is looking for; however, your story does not need to match any of these prompts to be published. The following list only contains the Committee\u2019s suggestions, such as stories about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identity (<em>Gender, Racial, Religious, Sexual, or Professional Affiliation e.g. Veteran\/First Responder, Teacher, Lawyer, etc.<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience Being Institutionalized (in Jail or Prison, Rehab, and\/or Sober Living)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seeking Sobriety During Different Stages of Life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Challenges with the Concept of Higher Power<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cross Addiction, Support From Other 12-Step Fellowships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detox Experiences, Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental Health, Cannabinoid Induced Psychosis (CIP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long-term Sobriety and the Benefits of Being of Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When writing your story, we ask that you consider a ratio to your writing;&nbsp;<em><strong>1\/3 what it was like, 1\/3 what happened, and 1\/3 what it is like now.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em>This structure sets a framework that begins with your addiction, what led you to finding recovery, and how recovery is changing your life. For more support writing your story, see ANLP\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/anlp12.org\/writing-guidance,\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">writing guidance<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/anlp12.org\/writing-tips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">writing tips<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/ma12.org\/prompts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">general recovery prompts<\/a>&nbsp;to spark creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-word-count\">Word Count<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Suggested length of your story is dependent on the project&nbsp;<em>you would like<\/em>&nbsp;it to be used for. You can submit multiple versions of differing lengths for each project if you\u2019d like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the future member stories\u00a0<strong>book,\u00a0<\/strong>we suggest between<strong>\u00a01,000-4,000 words<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For new member stories&nbsp;<strong>pamphlets,<\/strong>&nbsp;we suggest between&nbsp;<strong>100-300 words<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Future pamphlets are in the works, we are also accepting submissions on the topics of experiences with:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BIPOC in recovery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LGBTQIA+ and being in recovery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Veteran\/First Responder in recovery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and any other topic or story not yet represented in MA\u2019s current pamphlets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also submit content of all types about these topics to&nbsp;<em>A New Leaf,&nbsp;<\/em>MA\u2019s creative publication. By sharing our experience, strength, and hope, in our literature, we grow as people and as a fellowship. We provide inspiration to new and long-time members alike. We currently are seeking the diverse types of submissions explained above to expand the scope of stories and content included to reach members with varying experiences<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-please-visit-nbsp-anlp12-org-submissions-nbsp-to-submit-to-nbsp-any-nbsp-of-these-projects\"><strong>Please visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/anewleafpublications.org\/submissions\/\">ANLP12.org\/submissions<\/a>&nbsp;to submit to&nbsp;<em>any<\/em>&nbsp;of these projects!<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The new combined&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/anlp12.org\/submissions\">submission form<\/a>&nbsp;is for submitting content to&nbsp;<em>all<\/em>&nbsp;of MA\u2019s literature projects, whether the submission is intended for use in pamphlets, the member stories book project, and\/or in&nbsp;<em><a href=\"http:\/\/anlp12.org\/new-leaf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A New Leaf<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a requirement to maintain copyright, MA World Services and A New Leaf Publications require all story authors to agree to the terms included as part of the submission form.
