Sometimes there is a speaker. Sometimes we read the <a href=\"\/how-it-works\/the-twelve-steps\/\">Twelve Steps<\/a> or other literature. Many meetings have a topic for discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It doesn\u2019t cost anything to attend, there are no dues or fees for membership. Marijuana Anonymous is completely self-supporting, and meetings accept voluntary contributions from those in attendance. 7th Tradition contribution details are provided at each meeting. We say, \u201cwe need you more than we need your money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to our <a href=\"\/how-it-works\/the-twelve-traditions\/\">12th Tradition<\/a>, anonymity is the foundation of our program so whatever is said at a meeting is not to leave the meeting. Often after the meeting there is fellowship, this is an opportunity to get to know each other, exchange phone numbers, and a good time to approach members with questions and to inquire about sponsorship. We are all here to help.\u00a0 We have found that we can achieve more together than we ever could alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marijuana Anonymous is a spiritual program and there is room here for all beliefs. While the word God or Higher Power is used within our program, MA is not connected with any religious organization, sect, denomination, politics, institution, or any other organization whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn more about MA we suggest you read some of our literature. There is an informative pamphlet entitled, <a href=\"\/pamphlets\/for-the-newcomer\/\">For the Newcomer<\/a> and we have a page of <a href=\"\/how-it-works\/faq\/\">Frequently Asked Questions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-find-meetings-and-groups\">How to Find Meetings and Groups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/marijuana-anonymous.org\/find-a-meeting\">MA Meeting Finder<\/a> displays over 250+ meetings per week held online, by phone, and in-person (where available). When you visit the Meeting Finder, it will automatically display any ongoing and upcoming online meetings for today. By \u201cclearing all filters\u201c you can search by meeting types such as format, gender specific, and other parameters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some more populated geographic areas have a number of affiliated groups known as an MA District and these can be found in the <a href=\"\/service\/districts\/\">MA District Directory<\/a>.
